Evaluate voice biometrics separately from contact center controls

Voice biometrics attempts to use vocal characteristics for identity-related decisions. It is a specialized capability with accuracy, privacy and operational questions that should be evaluated separately from ordinary calling and quality review.

Define the identity decision and evidence

Ask a proposed provider how enrollment, matching, false results and recovery are handled. Review the data lifecycle and applicable obligations with the responsible stakeholders. Voice biometrics requires a separate capability review for a Voz360 deployment. Request specific evidence and the proposed provider arrangement before including it in your solution scope.

Review the controls Voz360 does address

Evaluate MFA, RBAC, audit logging and the access model for the intended deployment. For agents, use the approved customer-verification process and record the service outcome. AI transcription or QA scoring should not be described as biometric authentication; they serve different purposes.

Keep identity verification distinct in the demo

Use a sample caller-verification scenario and ask which controls belong to the agent's approved process, the application access model and any proposed biometric provider. Record the evidence required for each. A successful transcript or quality assessment should not be accepted as proof of the separate identity decision.

Your practical checklist

  • Verify biometric availability
  • Review enrollment and errors
  • Assess data responsibilities
  • Separate authentication from QA

Use this checklist in a workflow review with your agents, supervisors and implementation owners. Record what the team demonstrates, which decisions need an owner and what remains to be confirmed for your deployment.

Put the workflow into practice.

Bring a representative customer request and an exception to a Voz360 demonstration. Review the agent experience, the supervisor view and the record left for the next person. Confirm package scope, optional modules and provider dependencies before planning rollout.
