Scope CRM and API integration around service outcomes

Integration should move the information needed for a customer task without creating conflicting records. Start with the outcome and data ownership before selecting an interface or connector.

Map the smallest useful exchange

Choose a use case such as finding customer context during a call or updating a service outcome. Voz360 supports CTI CRM and external CRM integrations. Confirm the available connector or interface, supported fields, authentication and deployment responsibilities rather than assume a universal public API contract.

Design for errors and duplicates

Test unknown customers, repeated updates and an unavailable external system. Define which system owns each field and how failures are investigated. The agent still needs a way to continue service and record the next action while the integration owner resolves the technical issue.

Define one integration failure record

For a sample update that cannot reach the external CRM, decide who sees the failure and who owns correction. Ask how the agent preserves the customer action while the technical issue is investigated. Include this exception in acceptance testing alongside the successful information exchange.

Your practical checklist

  • Define a service outcome
  • Confirm interface availability
  • Map record ownership
  • Test duplicates and failure

Use this checklist in a workflow review with your agents, supervisors and implementation owners. Record what the team demonstrates, which decisions need an owner and what remains to be confirmed for your deployment.

CRM and API responsibility worksheet

Complete this before the acceptance tests. Agree systems of record, permitted actions, access owners and operational responsibilities. The worksheet scopes an integration; it does not certify a vendor connector or promise universal API compatibility.

Planning example: record your own implementation evidence.

Put the workflow into practice.

Bring a representative customer request and an exception to a Voz360 demonstration. Review the agent experience, the supervisor view and the record left for the next person. Confirm package scope, optional modules and provider dependencies before planning rollout.
