Decide which system owns each record
Define the source of truth for customer identifiers, contact details and service updates. A CRM integration becomes fragile when both systems can overwrite the same field without a rule. Voz360 supports CTI CRM and external CRM integrations, with the connector and field behavior scoped for each implementation.
Demonstrate a complete information exchange
Use a known customer, an unknown caller and a changed account detail in the test. Check identification, record matching, permissions and failure handling. Customer360 adds service context across conversations and calls; it should be evaluated alongside the external CRM's relationship data.
Test a customer with two phone numbers
Use a sample contact whose calling number differs from the one primarily stored in CRM. Ask how matching is configured and how the agent handles an uncertain match. Check the update rules before allowing a corrected detail to change records in either system.
Assign a system of record for each field
A CRM may own account and commercial information while a customer service platform owns conversations and service history. Decide the authoritative source for contact details, case status, consent-related records and interaction outcomes. A shared customer name does not establish how two records are matched.
Create a field map with direction, update trigger and edit permissions. Where both systems can edit a value, define conflict handling. Avoid bidirectional synchronization without an explicit rule for simultaneous or delayed updates.
Test a lookup and an update separately
In an illustrative enquiry, a call opens the matched customer record through CTI. The agent reads relevant context, creates service work and records the outcome. Demonstrate a second contact with a similar name and an unknown caller; the integration should not silently choose the wrong customer.
Next simulate an unavailable CRM. Confirm what the agent can continue doing, what remains pending and how failed updates are reconciled. Screen-pop success does not prove reliable write-back or permission handling.
Scope the integration as a maintained workflow
Identify the supported CRM, required interfaces, authentication, hosting constraints and accountable integration owner. Confirm rate limits and recovery behavior for the actual external service. Do not assume every CRM has the same connection model.
Voz360 CTI and external CRM integrations should be evaluated against this field and failure map. Ask for deployment-specific confirmation of the records and actions involved before making integration promises to the operating team.
Your practical checklist
- Define record ownership
- Test an unknown caller
- Map update permissions
- Inspect integration failures
Use this checklist in a workflow review with your agents, supervisors and implementation owners. Record what the team demonstrates, which decisions need an owner and what remains to be confirmed for your deployment.

Scenarios, worksheets and diagrams are illustrative; they are not customer results or application screenshots. Configuration, carrier services, integrations and commercial terms are scoped for each deployment.
